LYNNWOOD -- A man found dead in Lake Stickney on Feb. 29 had drowned, officials have determined.
The death of Seth B. Brandley has been under investigation by the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office and the Medical Examiner's Office.
Brandley, 28, of the Spokane area, died from asphyxia caused by freshwater drowning, the Medical Examiner's Office said this week.
His manner of death is undetermined, meaning there wasn't enough information available to pinpoint the exact circumstances of how he died.
The sheriff's investigation is wrapping up as well, spokeswoman Shari Ireton said Wednesday.
Police believe Brandley was on the run from authorities in Spokane when he led Snohomish County cops on a pursuit that ended near the lake Feb. 26.
He reportedly ran from the car, and his body was found a few days later.
Brandley had been wanted for escape from state Department of Corrections supervision in the Spokane area.
