WHAT: This osmanthus, Osmanthus delavayi, has wonderfully fragrant clusters of small white flowers covering the shrub. It is a beautiful display set against medium green leaves. As an evergreen, Osmanthus delavayi makes a good structure plant.
SUN OR SHADE: An osmanthus prefers full sun in our climate.
SIZE: Its size, 6 feet 10 inches tall and wide, adds to the dramatic effect that is produced by the blooms.
SEE IT: At the Evergreen Arboretum & Gardens, just past the Conifer Garden, on the right; 145 Alverson Blvd., Everett.
