Sample local wine at downtown Monroe event

Bring your own wine glass and taste local wines and food at the Historic Monroe Wine Walk on May 19.
The event, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, will include sips from the following wineries: Piccola Winery, Michael Florentino Cellars, Gecko Wine Company, Open Road Wine Company, Convergence Zone Cellars, Page Cellars and Dubindil Winery.
Tickets are $20 a person and simple wine glasses will be available for $5.
The event is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m., May 19 at the Monroe Chamber of Commerce 111 W. Main St., Monroe.
