Caring for a loved one at home is tough.
The task is often full of challenges, and caregivers can feel isolated, experts say.
That's one reason why "Powerful Tools for Caregiving," classes offered at the Camano Center, can be a good idea for caregivers.
The series of classes is designed to help family caregivers reduce stress, change "negative self talk," deal with challenging situations, make tough caregiving decisions, set goals, problem solve and communicate effectively with family, doctors and others, according to class organizers.
The series is scheduled to run for six consecutive Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., beginning Thursday through June 21.
The class is free, but space is limited and registration is required.
For more information or to sign up, call 360-387-6201.
