On Monday, the Future of Flight Aviation Center will host the flight simulator for Boeing's KC-46A tanker, shown in this artist's rendering.

Fly the Boeing Co.'s 767-based tanker before the company even builds it.

Boeing is bringing a flight simulator for the KC-46A tanker at the Future of Flight Aviation Center on Monday.

Last year, the aerospace giant won a multi-billion deal to supply the U.S. Air Force with refueling tankers. The Air Force has given Boeing's tanker, created using an Everett-built 767 jet, the designation KC-46A.

The opportunity to “fly” the tanker, however, is limited only to Future of Flight Foundation members or sponsors of the Foundation's Partners in Innovation program. Membership rates start at $50.

The tanker simulator will be open from 4 to 6:30 p.m. May 21. There will be a presentation from 6:30 to 8 p.m. by Rick Fitzhugh, KC-46 Business Development.

The cost of the event is $100 and has to be paid by May 20. Contact kendall@futureofflight.org for more information or to RSVP.

Also visit the Future of Flight Foundation event website for membership and event information.
