Talent show in Arlington: Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Arlington is holding a talent show, hobby display and dinner at 5 p.m. Saturday at the church, 615 E. Highland Drive. Summers, who came from a church in Woodburn, Ore., is a married father of two, and a graduate of Washington State University and Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, Calif.
Fishnet Theatre in Monroe: The First Baptist Church of Monroe will host Fishnet Theatre's production of "Annie Imes Private Eye" at 10:45 a.m. Sunday in the church auditorium. Open to the public. Unity Church speaker: The Unity Center for Positive Living, or Unity Church, will host author Roy Holman at the 10 a.m. service Sunday. The service will be followed by a 1 p.m. talk where Holman will discuss "Unity Consciousness" and show slides from a six-week visit to India's Oneness University. A "oneness blessing" will be offered. Holman is author of "Healing Self, Healing Earth: Awakening Presence, Power, and Passion" and "Poems from the Passionate Heart: Reflections on Healing and Awakening," and is a certified yoga, meditation and healing instructor.
