Baby Time
Weighing in on attachment parenting, in the spotlight these days thanks to that Time magazine cover photo, family psychologist John Rosemond says no scientific evidence exists to support any of the benefits claimed by the parenting trend’s adherents.
However, it did accomplish something rather amazing: It got people talking about Time magazine again.
Rocky mountain high: Their dormant offense apparently liking the high altitude at Coors Field in Denver, the Seattle Mariners completed a three-game sweep of the Colorado Rockies with a 6-4 win Sunday.
The wins give the M’s some hope for their series with West Division-leading Texas starting Monday, but only if the games are moved from Safeco Field to the alpine fields on the slopes of Mount Rainier.
Ring of fire: A partial solar eclipse transformed the sun into a glowing ring Sunday evening, treating folks in southwest Oregon and Northern California to a rare spectacle — and potential eye damage if they looked at it without protective eyewear.
Locally, we didn’t need eye protection, but some decent rain gear would have come in handy.
