Comcast Arena opens its doors to walkers

The mall isn't the only place for people to stretch their legs indoors.

Comcast Arena at Everett, 2000 Hewitt Ave., just started opening its concourse for walkers, said Cassie Behrendt, marketing coordinator. The concourse is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Entrance is free. Five laps equal a mile.

A few particulars: The concourse won't be open on holidays. The only animals allowed in are service animals. Walkers should enter through the ice rink doors off of Broadway.
