Political animals: Western lawmakers have introduced legislation in the U.S. Senate to put the Plains bison on par with the bald eagle by naming the bison the “national mammal.”
At the same time, with Congress unable to move forward with legislation on tax cuts, student loans or anything of consequence, it has passed a bill to name a “Congressional mammal”: Dr. Dolittle’s pushmi-pullyu.
