Help: Police seek volunteer aid
The Arlington Police Department is looking for volunteers to help in a variety of ways, including assisting the records room staff and police officers between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays at the police department.
Volunteer work includes staffing the front-lobby window, answering phones and handing out informational brochures.

Help: Volunteers needed for auction
Village Community Services is organizing a silent auction to raise funds. The organizations helps adults with disabilities find and keep employment, and live independently.
People are needed to help between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. June 8 at Smokey Point Community Church, 17721 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington. People can help for a shift of two hours or more, depending on their schedules.

Volunteer: Help out at Monte Cristo
People are needed this summer to provide visitor information at the historic Monte Cristo town site and cabin area and along the trails.
The stewards use one of the U.S. Forest Service cabins during day-long or multiple-day trips and help maintain the cabins, camp areas and trails.
People interested in volunteering must attend training at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Verlot Public Service Center, 33515 Mountain Loop Highway, Granite Falls.

Ride: Motorcycle event for food banks
The Angel of the Winds Casino is sponsoring a motorcycle ride to benefit food banks in Marysville, Arlington and Stanwood.
People can participate by paying $10 for a game card. The ride is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. June 10 at the Sound Harley-Davidson store, 16212 Smokey Point Blvd., Smokey Point. The 40-mile ride ends at the Angel of Winds Casino, 3438 Stoluckquamish Lane, Arlington.

Donate: Items needed for sale
The Snohomish County Chapter of the Clothing and Textile Advisors of Washington seeks donations of fabric, notions, trims, patterns, books, magazines, yarn and needlework for its upcoming fabric sale. Donations will be accepted from 4 to 8 p.m. June 8 at 600 128th St. SE in Everett.

The sale is scheduled for 9 a.m. June 9. A portion of the proceeds go to summer camp scholarships.
Volunteer: Tidy up at work party
The Evergreen Neighborhood in Everett plans to host a work party at the southwest corner of Madison Avenue and Morgan Road on Friday.
The event is set from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Invasive weeds and brush is set to be cut back on the 1.75 acre park land. Some tools are provided, or bring your own.
