Spring camp is here

The Silvertips are holding their spring camp this weekend. Everett is bringing in several of its prospects to spend the weekend practicing and doing off-ice activities. This gives the players the chance to get a feel for the coaches, the organization, the city and their possible future teammates. It also gives the Tips a chance to get a hands-on look at the players that should make up the core of future rosters. This isn't Everett's first spring camp, but in the past the Tips have kept it pretty quiet. I guess things are a little different under the new regime.

This will be an opportunity for the Tips to get their first look at several of their prospects. Not only will it be the first look at some of the recent bantam draft picks, I suspect that recent acquisitions like Ben Betker, Tyler Sandhu and Mitch Skapski, as well as recent signing Griffin Foulk, will be there. In all, it should be a nice collection of talent on the ice.
