    Ryan Murray

It would be difficult to overstate Ryan Murray's importance to the Everett Silvertips the past few seasons.
It would be equally hard to overstate his promising hockey future.
A savvy player with exceptional skating skills and a knack for advancing the puck quickly up the ice, the 18-year-old defenseman spent the last few seasons establishing himself as one of the top blue-line players in Silvertips history.
Hockey scouts have indeed noticed, and Murray's talent and potential are expected to make him a high pick in the National Hockey League entry draft next month.
Murray, an assistant captain in 2010-11 and captain in 2011-12, is coming off two outstanding seasons in Everett. In 2010-11 he played in 70 games for the Silvertips, and had six goals with 40 assists. In 2011-12, and despite being hampered by an early-season ankle injury, he had nine goals and 22 assists in 46 games.
The native of White City, Saskatchewan, represented Canada at the 2011 World Under-18 Championships in Germany.
He was also added to the Canadian roster for the recent World Championships in Finland and Sweden.
