Pug Gala at fairgrounds promises cute overload

What's cuter than a pug dog?
How about dozens of pugs?
And if that's not cute enough, how about dozens of pugs dressed in costumes or having a kissing contest or balancing in an agility course?
Such will be the abundance of cuteness at this year's 17th annual Pug Gala.
The gala has become one of the biggest social events of the season for pugs and their humans.
Gala activities and highlights include a parade of rescue pugs, a kissing contest, raffles and a silent auction, a costume contest, an agility course demonstration, racing pugs and lots of vendors.
And apologies to other cute little doggies: This is an exclusive gala where only pugs and pug mixes are permitted.
The 17th annual Pug Gala is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 16 at the Evergreen Fairgrounds, 14405 179th Ave. SE, Monroe. Admission is cash only, $10 for ages 12 and up, and $5 for ages 6 to 11 and for seniors.
