Boeing's first S.C.-built 787 painted in Texas
Boeing rolled out the first Dreamliner built in North Charleston in April. And the Dreamliner took its maiden flight late last month.
Back in 2011, Boeing said it would fly South Carolina-built 787s to Texas for painting by Leading Edge.
Leading Edge painted this first Boeing 787 in about a week's time at its Fort Worth location. See photos in this Star-Telegram story.
The aircraft returned to North Charleston on Sunday, reports The Post and Courier.
The first 787 built in South Carolina is bound for Air India. After resolving a squabble with the carrier over compensation last week, Boeing is expected to deliver three 787s to Air India this month.
