SnoCo Five-Oh: Monday's mobile-home fire near Bothell

Here are the details about the fire from Snohomish County Fire District 7 spokeswoman Autumn Waite:

Fire District 7 was dispatched to a residential fire in the 1300 block of 192nd Avenue near Bothell at 5:09 p.m. (Monday). Crews arrived to find smoke coming from underneath the mobile home. They were able to contain the fire to the exterior of the home. There were no injuries reported.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal's Office investigated and determined the fire was caused by an electrical failure of energized heat tape. Damage was estimated at $10,000.

Note: SnoCo Five-Oh is a new feature we're trying on Sirens. We follow up on lot of calls about police and fire activity in the community. Most of the time, it's not much for a full-length news story. We'll share some of what we learn here.
