UPDATE, 8 a.m. Wednesday: The missing girl has been found in Bellingham.
STANWOOD — Police are asking for help finding a missing Stanwood girl who may have been abducted by her mother.
Karly A. McKay, 13, was last seen Tuesday afternoon at her home along Happy Valley Road, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
McKay is described as 5-foot and about 90 pounds, with dark blonde hair and blue eyes.
Her mother, Trina K. Anderson, 31, is not allowed unsupervised visits with the girl, Ireton said.
Anderson is described as 5-foot-10 and about 140 pounds with brown hair. She may be driving a 2002 Lexus SUV, Washington license plate 341YPL.
Police have reason to believe Anderson took the girl illegally, and there is no indication the girl may have run away, Ireton said.
Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 425-388-3845.
