Associated Press
SPOKANE -- Spokane police say a 21-year-old woman was killed when she apparently tried to stop her car from rolling down her driveway and was run over by the vehicle.
Firefighters responding to a call for help Tuesday morning found the woman trapped under her car. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said she likely returned home from work around midnight. They think she parked her car on top of the steep driveway and it started rolling backward. She tried to stop the car and was pinned underneath.
Her grandmother found her under the car and called police.
