Healthy community

Thanks to all for great challenge day

If raindrops could be applause there would have been a thunderous standing ovation for the wonderful volunteers at the Healthy Community Challenge Day event in Marysville. Despite the early morning rain, the volunteers were cheerful and very helpful in setting up, as well as tearing down booths and volunteering where needed.

I especially want to thank the Marysville Pilchuck and Marysville Getchell high school athletes, without whose help I would still be trying to erect my "Easy UP" vendor display tent. It was only easy and fast when I had a couple of great Marysville students helping me!

The entire day was a huge success, with families getting lots of opportunities to try hands on healthy activities and to pledge to Get Movin' thru the summer. Thanks to all those involved and I look forward to participating again next year.
