Everett woman, 72, seriously injured in apartment fire

EVERETT -- A 72-year-old Everett woman was seriously injured in an apartment fire late Sunday night.

The fire broke out about 11:23 p.m. at Holly Village Apartments in the 9600 block of Holly Drive, Everett Fire Marshal Rick Robinson said.

Crews found the woman in an apartment filled with smoke. Fire sprinklers had extinguished the flames.

The woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
