Meet a gardening book author and sample wines at Uppercase

It'll be signing and wining Thursday with garden book author Debra Prinzing at Uppercase Bookshop in Snohomish.

Prinzing's books include her recently released "The 50-Mile Bouquet: Seasonal, Local and Sustainable Flowers," and "Stylish Sheds and Elegant Hideaways."

Prinzing, who is now a Seattle-based writer and lecturer, wrote home and garden stories for many years for The Herald.

Her articles have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the San Diego Union-Tribune and many national magazines, including Metropolitan Home and Sunset.

"The 50-Mile Bouquet" lists at $17.95 and "Stylish Sheds" sells for $30.

The book reception takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. at Uppercase Bookshop, 1118 First Street, Snohomish.
