MILL CREEK — The Mill Creek Country Club is asking neighbors to keep an eye out for suspicious activity.
In recent weeks, someone apparently poured a liquid that killed grass on the 16th green, a club spokesman said. Similar damage was reported elsewhere on the golf course last year.
The damage this year was estimated at $5,000 in the initial police report, Mill Creek police Sgt. Ian Durkee said. Police have no suspects or leads.
There also was an incident last week involving young people shooting arrows onto the fairway. The acts of vandalism take a lot of time and energy to clean up, a country club spokesman said.
The club is offering a $1,000 reward for tips leading to arrests and convictions.
Anyone with information should contact Mill Creek police.
