TULALIP — A man found pinned beneath his ATV overnight on the Tulalip Indian Reservation was taken to an Everett hospital Tuesday morning with injuries that were not considering life threatening, officials said.
The man, 20, was found down a steep embankment in the central part of the reservation around 4:30 a.m., according to police reports. He had been missing for about 12 hours.
“He went out quadding on his ATV and he did not return home last night,” Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
His family went to look for him when he didn’t come home for dinner, Tulalip Police Chief Jay Goss said.
Police and volunteers from Snohomish County Search and Rescue were called when family members couldn’t find him.
Tulalip police officers found the man about a mile off Turk Road.
“He was pinned underneath his ATV,” Goss said. “He was talking to the officers. Fortunately, it was fairly warm last night. We are glad he wasn’t badly hurt.”
