ARLINGTON -- The Arlington Police Department is treating the death of a man as suspicious.

Police were dispatched to the 16800 block of Smokey Point Blvd. on Saturday morning after a 911 call reported a man was lying down in the parking lot, city's spokeswoman Kristin Banfield said. The man is described as white and in his 40s.

His identity and cause of death will be released after an autopsy by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner on Monday, Banfield said.

The detectives are investigating the death because it occurred in an open and public location, Banfield said.
