Despite ominous skies, visitors enjoyed the annual Jetty Jam Saturday on Jetty Island. Click here to see photos from the event.
Jetty Island Days officially began Sunday with ferry rides from the 10th Street Boat Launch and Marine Park at 10th and W. Marine View Drive. Ferry boats leave seven days a week through Sept. 3.
Everett's 2-mile-long beach oasis supplies water, warm sand and nature trails. It's also popular with kiteboarders.
Visitors can park for free at Marine Park from Monday through Thursday; the Port of Everett charges a $3 parking fee on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Parking machines will accept credit cards.
Reservations on the ferry can be made in advance by calling 425-257-8304. For more information, go to Everett's website at To meet the plants and animals that call Jetty Island home, take a look at our handy guide.
