Active Duty
Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Christopher Lambach, Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Christopher Gossett and other sailors from the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan volunteered to assist in the Special Olympics Washington competition for disabled athletes this spring at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma.
Sailors supported the participating athletes by guiding and cheering them to the finish line. They also worked as time-keepers, award presenters, data entry personnel, announcers and judges. Lambach is a 2003 graduate of Mountlake Terrace High School. He joined the Navy in March 2007 and is the son of Veronica Lambach of Mountlake Terrace. Gossett is the son of Shawna and Brett Gossett of Marysville. A 2002 graduate of Arlington High School of Arlington, he joined the Navy in October 2002.
Navy Seaman Nickolas Naslund, son of Marianne and Kevin Naslund of Sultan, has completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Naslund is a 2010 graduate of Sultan High School.
Air Force Airman Peter Camacho graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Camacho is the son of Sherrea Camacho of Everett. He is a 2009 graduate of Mariner High School.
Air Force Airman Felipe Herrera graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Herrera is the son of Edelmira Palacios of Lynnwood and is a 2011 graduate of Henry M. Jackson High School, Mill Creek.
