Call cease-fire on annual onslaught

I saw in Monday's paper that those of us unfortunate enough to live in unincorporated Snohomish County are to be subjected to 15 hours of torture on the Fourth. Who are the dipsticks that chose these ridiculous times? The dingbat down the hill from me has already started with his idiocy. The one up the hill will be starting any time now and we have to put up with this for days before the actual holiday hell commences.
I'm nearly 80 years old and certainly don't need this kind of aggravation. Last year those two kept it up until almost 2 a.m.! I can't even sit out on my deck because the junk they're firing off lands there quite often. I worry about fire, too. The Sheriff's Office tells me what they're doing is illegal. Hello! I know that. But even though I've given them the name and address of one of these clowns every year nothing happens. All of my near neighbors are completely frustrated with the lack of follow-through as well as the lack of consideration by these alleged adults.
