PUYALLUP -- Authorities say search crews could not find a 29-year-old man swept away on the Puyallup River.
The Tacoma News Tribune reports the search was suspended late Sunday and is scheduled to resume Monday morning.
Swift-water rescue crews and aircraft equipped with heat-seeking systems looked for the man until 10 p.m.
Pierce County sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer says they don't know yet what happened to the man.
The man's friends called 911 after noticing he had floated away just north of Orting and they couldn't reach him.
