Edmonds motorcyclist seriously injured in U.S. 2 crash

STEVENS PASS -- An Edmonds woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries Saturday after crashing a motorcycle on U.S. 2, the Washington State Patrol said.
The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. at milepost 64. The 49-year-old rider had been traveling east on a 2002 Yamaha when she went off the roadway and hit a guardrail, troopers said.
Troopers said speed caused the crash. No other vehicles were involved.
