Leading Zumba instructor to visit Camano Island

Mo Diakite is the top international dance instructor for Zumba, and he's inviting the public to watch his moves and move themselves.

Or you can just sit and sing at an event Thursday on Camano Island.

Diakite's appearance is big-time for Zumba instructors in the area, and anyone interested in learning more about this Latin-inspired exercise can come and watch and try to match the moves.

Diakite is the African workshop instructor at the Orlando Zumba conventions. This is his visit to Camano Island.

There will be raffles with the chance to win dinner with Diakite after the event. Eight people have a chance to win that prize where Diakite will talk about his life experiences.

The Zumba event is to be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdayin the outside amphitheater at Terry's Corner, 848 N. Sunrise Blvd., Camano Island. Register now for a $20 ticket; $25 at the door, and $10 for children 12 and up.
