Suspect arrested after manhunt around Mill Creek

BOTHELL -- A man wanted on a felony warrant was arrested Tuesday after reportedly attempting to run over a Bothell police officer.
The officer reacted by shooting at the suspect, who was in a car. The man sped away, heading north, police said. That set in motion a major manhunt between Mill Creek and Bothell in the North Creek area.
No serious injuries were reported.
The commotion started about 4 p.m. in the 2100 block of 228th Street SE, just southeast of where I-405 crosses the Bothell-Everett Highway, Bothell police Capt. Denise Langford said.
The officer had spotted a man in a vehicle who matched a suspect from a recent law enforcement bulletin, Langford said. The man had a no-bail warrant from the Department of Corrections for escaping custody.
The officer exited his squad car and ordered the man to get out of his vehicle, Langford said.
At that point, the man attempted to run the officer over, she said. The officer fired his weapon.
The suspect then took off, ditching his car in the 16500 block of 26th Drive SE, about five miles away, south of Mill Creek.
He was arrested about two hours later in that area after being located by a Lynnwood police dog, Langford said.
The manhunt shut down several roads in the area.
The incident also led to a call-out of the Snohomish County Multiple Agency Response Team, a group of detectives from around the county who investigate officer-involved shootings.
The man was expected to be booked into jail Tuesday evening.
