Expect whiskey-soaked country singer Gary Allan to play some new material during a stop at the Tulalip Amphitheatre this Saturday.

Allan has been recording the follow-up to 2010's "Get Off on the Pain," which hit No. 5 on the Billboard 200. He has described his newest songs as the most rocking he's ever done -- this from a man who cut his teeth on the rowdy honky tonk circuit.

It's safe to say you'll be standing up often when he takes the stage at Tulalip.

Tickets are $54.25 to $75.25 at ticketmaster.com, 800-745-3000.

Tulalip isn't the only venue bringing in big names. Another string of shows will draw crowds to the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville.

Earth, Wind and Fire will take the stage Friday night for a sold-out show. The funk band scored a string of hits, such as "Shining Star," in the 1970s.

The group headlines the winery's amphitheater Friday night. Tickets are sold out, but call the winery at 425-488-1133 to see if last-minute seating becomes available.

On Sunday, Chris Isaak will be joined by Shawn Colvin at the winery.

Best known for his matinee idol looks and 1990s hit "Wicked Game," Isaak has found a way to mix guitar prowess, pop hooks and rockabilly flair.

He most recently released the 2011 album "Beyond the Sun," a collection of covers that pay homage to Sun Records, the home of Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis, among many others.

While Isaak has never won a Grammy, his opening act has.

In fact, Shawn Colvin has three of them: She's won best contemporary folk recording, and also the two biggest Grammy awards: Song of the Year and Record of the Year, both for the hit "Sunny Came Home."

Tickets for their show are $45 to $84.95 at ticketmaster.com, 800-745-3000, or at the winery.

The venue's third show happens Tuesday night, as Steve Martin joins Emmylou Harris for a sold-out concert.

Emmylou Harris' prolific career has found her steadily releasing country and pop since 1975. Her most recent album, the critically lauded "Hard Bargain," came out last year.

Meanwhile, comic Steve Martin will take a break from writing hilarious tweets -- seriously funny stuff, people -- to take the stage with his bluegrass band, the Steep Canyon Rangers, and show off his prowess on the banjo.

Tickets are sold out, but call the winery at 425-488-1133 to see if last-minute seating becomes available.

Further south, several big names will light up the stages.

Neil Diamond is back on tour again, getting people to "oh-oh-oh" along to "Sweet Caroline."

Diamond headlines KeyArena on Monday. Tickets are $67.39 to $135.49 at ticketmaster.com, 800-745-3000.

Florence and the Machine, who hit big in 2009 with their alt-rock hit "Dog Days Are Over," will kick off a string of U.S. dates with a show at the White River Amphitheatre. The group will be joined by indie rock stalwarts the Walkmen.

Tickets are $46 to $68.50 at livenation.com, 800-745-3000.

And, after taking seven years to release the follow-up to "Extraordinary Machine," Fiona Apple is back on stage.

The cultishly adored pianist and singer will belt out tracks from her new album, which has a 23-word-long title often abbreviated to "The Idler Wheel…"

Tickets are $41.25 to $56.25 at stgpresents.org, 877-784-4849.
