Associated Press
WALLULA -- Railex Wine Services plans to build an $18 million expansion of its wine storage and distribution center near Wallula.
The Tri-City Herald reported that Ste. Michelle Wine Estates has signed a long-term lease for most of the warehouse.
Ste. Michelle vice president Rob McKinney said its expertise is in growing grapes and making wine. He said the business has grown to a scale that requires a logistics provider to manage distribution.
