Song of the week: James Apollo Orchestra's 'The Days'

  • James Apollo.

    James Apollo.

James Apollo has finished his new EP “Little War, Little Less” and I can't get enough of it. That might have something to do with it being produced by my favorite Seattle singer songwriter, Damien Jurado.

Recently James Apollo released a new video for the song 'The Days' and it's pretty beautiful. Watching the way the band slowly comes together to build this huge sound at the end of the song is amazing. See the video below.

On July 27 (next Friday) James Apollo and his orchestra will be playing a show at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center. I got to chat with James the other day and this is what he had to say about the show:

“It's a special night, shifting from my raucous road band, to a small orchestra, plus my raucous road band. We've pillaged the elites from Seattle Rock Orchestra to make a majestic sound similar to what we captured on tape for the new record "Little War, Little Less" which we are premiering that night.”

After seeing the video for 'The Days' this show is a must-see for me and tickets are only $8-$14! Tickets can be purchased here.
