BREMERTON -- A 94-year-old Bremerton man is accused of domestic violence against his 90-year-old wife.

A police officer who was called to the home Tuesday saw the man holding the woman on the kitchen floor and kicking her in the shin.

The Kitsap Sun reported that she was taken to Harrison Medical Center and treated for bruises from her shin to her head. He was taken to jail and charged Wednesday in Kitsap County District Court with third-degree assault.

The man told police they argued about grocery money, but he denied hitting her.
