Strickland wins Everett Amateur title by three shots

EVERETT -- Mark Strickland shot a 5-under 68 in the final round at Legion Memorial Golf Course to capture the Everett Amateur Championship on Sunday.

Strickland, who is from Mukilteo and plays for Western Washington University, finished with a tournament record-tying 8-under 136 to win by three strokes over Brycen Finnie, who shot a 4-under 68 in the final round to finish in second place.

First round co-leader Jeff Strickland, Mark's father, shot a 1-over 73 to finish in a tie for third place with Connor Miele and Sean McMullen.
