LYNNWOOD — Detectives are asking for help identifying a man suspected of breaking into a Lynnwood-area apartment.
The man ran away after being confronted by people who were home at the time, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said Wednesday.
The attempted burglary was reported about noon July 19 in the 14000 block of Serene Way, just west of Lake Serene.
The man knocked on the apartment’s door, Ireton said. The people at home didn’t recognize him and didn’t open the door.
The man then broke in, was confronted and fled.
He is described as white, in his early 20s and stands about 6 foot tall. He has dark hair, brown eyes, scruffy facial hair and a sleeve-style tattoo on his right arm.
He was wearing a blue and white baseball cap, a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
