The Arlington-based band Strutz offers its annual Strutzfest on Thursday through Saturday at the Darrington Music Park on Highway 530 just west of town.
More than 15 bands are in the lineup, with music including local originals, country rock and well-known classic rock tribute bands.
Weekend passes are $60 and day passes are $40, with weekend campsites at $40. Partial proceeds from Strutzfest benefit Seattle Children's Hospital and Special Olympics.

Everett: Help judge senior projects
Volunteers are needed to help evaluate senior project presentations on Friday and Aug. 14 and 15 at Sequoia High School.
Panelists attend a short training session, review all input, and complete a form evaluating each student's level of performance.

Monroe: Three blood drives scheduled
Valley General Hospital will host three upcoming blood drives in partnership with Puget Sound Blood Center: from 8 a.m. -11 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m. Saturday; from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 27; and from from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. and from noon until 2 p.m. Sept. 1.
The mobile donation bus will be in the Valley General Hospital main parking lot at 14701 179th Ave SE.

Whidbey Island: Ferry advisory group
The Island County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants willing to volunteer for the Clinton Ferry Committee or the Coupeville Ferry Committee. Those applying must live in area they would represent.
The commissioners appoint ferry advisory committee members to four-year terms. The committees meet as needed to discuss the concerns of the ferry user groups and relay that information to lawmakers in Olympia. By law, political party affiliation must be included in application materials. Deadline to apply is Aug. 27.
