Associated Press
AUBURN -- No one was injured in a police shootout early Wednesday in Auburn.
Police say a man fired a shotgun at two officers and hit their cars. The shots hit the windshield of one police car and the driver's door on the other car. One of the officers fired at the fleeing suspect. Police found him hiding in a yard. He surrendered and police seized a shotgun.
Assistant Chief William Pierson says neither the officers nor the suspect were hurt.
The incident began just before 1 a.m. when an officer started to contact a suspicious man and the man opened fire.
