The Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace's labor contract expires Oct. 6. Representatives from Boeing and SPEEA have been meeting for months.
After negotiations on Thursday, SPEEA noted on its website that Boeing had shot down many of the union's requests regarding adding paid holidays, increasing vacation accrual and providing more maternity or paternity leave.
In June, SPEEA leaders outlined some of their contract requests in this Herald story.
Last week, the union dismissed Boeing's proposal to switch to a 401(k) retirement plan for new workers.
SPEEA, which represents nearly 23,000 Boeing engineers and technical workers in the Puget Sound region, provides updates from meetings with Boeing on its website.
Boeing and SPEEA continue talks next week.
