Catch bluegrass at Terrace festival

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE -- The green grass of the Nile golf course will take on a different hue this weekend.
The first Bluegrass on the Green is a two-day open air festival with top-notch bluegrass music Saturday and Sunday at the Nile Country Club and Golf Course.
The Northwest's own Northern Departure will headline the event. The show also features nine additional bands from Washington, Oregon and California, including Bluegrass Regulators, Jim Faddis and One More Ride, Sugar Pine, The Stray Dogs, Wayward Vessel, Windy Hill, Deer in The Headlights and Convergence Zone.
The event also boasts a variety of vendors, a pancake breakfast, lakeside jam areas, a wine and beer garden and more.

The event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the course, 6601 244th St. SW.
