Associated Press
BRUSH PRAIRIE -- Clark County firefighters say a pregnant woman and two young boys have been rescued from an SUV that plunged 75 feet down a ravine near the southwest Washington community of Brush Prairie.
County Fire District 3 Battalion Chief Jeff Stewart said bystanders freed the children -- ages 3 and 5 -- after the Friday evening crash.
The driver was unable to free herself from the vehicle that came to rest on its side. Stewart said fire crews removed the rear window and part of the top of the vehicle to reach the driver. They secured her in a litter and pulled her up the steep slope using ropes.
Ambulances took the three to PeaceHealth Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver. Their conditions were not known.
