Front Porch: Free piano performance

The Summer Plaza Series presented by the Gene Nastri School features a free performance by pianist Gwen Warren, who will play an eclectic mix of music including classical, pop and rhythm and blues, with songs from movie themes, Alicia Keys and Norah Jones, Disney childrens' songs and Beatles' hits.
The performance is at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave., Mukilteo. The performance will be followed by an Instrument Petting Zoo where anyone can touch musical instruments and, under the guidance of trained musicians, see what sounds they can produce.

Eagle and hawks on display: A large golden eagle and a supporting cast of several owls and hawks will join Kestrel SkyHawk of the Sarvey Wildlife Center at a special Adopt A Stream Foundation seminar, 7 p.m. Thursday at the Northwest Stream Center visitors building, 600 128th St. SE, Everett.
Seating is limited; call 425-316-8592 to register. Cost is $5 for foundation members, $7 for non-members. Proceeds benefit the Sarvey Wildlife Center and the Adopt A Stream Foundation's Streamkeeper Academy.
