Front Porch: State reschedules dye test on Stilly

Dye test Tuesday
The state Department of Ecology has changed the date of its dye test in the Stillaguamish River to Tuesday evening.
Red fluorescent dye is to be pumped into the river about 8 p.m. at Haller Park in Arlington. The test is part of a water quality study that measures river flow and pollution dissipation.
The dye is not harmful to people, fish or wildlife, Ecology officials said.
Movie at Mukilteo Library: Join us for a free movie and popcorn at 2 p.m. Tuesday. "Phantom of the Opera" with Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum will be screened, and one lucky teen wins the DVD.
On Aug. 21, the library will show the Academy Award-winning "Hugo."
The Mukilteo Library is located at 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd. Call 425-493-8202 for more information.
