Beer festival: The inaugural Everett Craft Beer Festival is from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday in downtown Everett. The event is expected to feature 26 breweries pouring more than 60 different beers at Hoyt and Hewitt avenues. Advance tickets are on sale for $15 at washingtonbeer.com or at Diamond Knot Brewery Ale House, Special Brews Beer Shop, Scuttlebutt Brewing and American Brewing. Tickets are $20 at the door or $15 for military. Entry includes a tasting cup and five tokens, each good for a 5-ounce taste. Additional tokens may be purchased at $1.50 each or four for $5. Fresh Paint: More than 75 local artists will demonstrate and sell their work at the annual festival, held this year from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday along the entire length of the Everett Marina, 1700 W. Marine View Drive. You can create your own fused glass, get a photography lesson, search Jetty Island for glass floats or make your own at the Schack Art Center. More details here.

Dahlia show: See incredible blooms at the free Snohomish County Dahlia Society show, which will feature more than 2,700 plants. Events are from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Floral Hall, Forest Park, 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd., Everett. The show includes competitions and prizes, and advice, along with handouts, from local experts. Read more about the show here.

Try frontier life:At Rendezvous Days in Coupeville, there will be camping, games, archery shoots, knife and hawk contests, period costumes, traders tents and children’s games. Events are Friday through Sunday. More information in here.

Western Days Sale:The Marysville Goodwill store, 9315 State Ave., is holding its popular Western Days Sale on Friday and Saturday. Doors will open at 8 a.m. Saturday. Throughout the year, Goodwill collects Western-themed items, including cowboy hats and boots, belts and buckles, clothing, jewelry and furniture, and many other items. Several saddles also will be available.

Hibulb celebration:The Hibulb Cultural Center and Natural History Preserve on the Tulalip Indian reservation will celebrate its one-year anniversary with a free celebration Friday through Sunday. Activities include storytellers, performance art and talks on a variety of topics, including gardening and science. Super battle: Teens can make up their own superheroes and supervillains, don costumes and duke it out in a series of challenges at the Mountlake Terrace Library from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Snacks and prizes will be provided. For more information, call Dawn at 425-776-8722.

Fun at the Imagine Children’s Museum: Admission to the museum, 1502 Wall St. in Everett is free on Friday night from 5:30 to 9 p.m. And on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., kids can meet furry friends from the Everett Animal Shelter. More information at imaginecm.org.

Learn about our beaches: Explore with naturalists and WSU Beach Watchers who will teach you about two local beaches and the creatures that inhabit them. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Kayak Point County Park, 15610 Marine Drive, Stanwood, and Mukilteo Lighthouse Park, 609 Front St. Also, from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Lighthouse Park, you can join a naturalist for a more in-depth 30-minute walk and talk, in which Beach Watchers will discuss tides, geology and more.
