Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey will present "Barnum Bash," introducing the Ringlettes, stylish hosts of what might be the swankiest circus party in town.

"Barnum Bash" opens Thursday at Comcast Arena and the fun begins before the show starts as the audience is invited to a pre-show party on the arena floor.

Partygoers get a chance to learn fresh dance moves from Ringling Bros. clown DJ Dean, and can also style it up in glitzy costumes, learn balance and juggling skills, and meet and take photos with circus stars.

"Barnum Bash" stars an international cast in a 21st century show set to pop music.

The story is that everyone who is anyone is invited to a swanky party, except Anton, a lovable, goofy hipster clown, who just wants to be part of the fun. Anton uses his antics to try to persuade everyone that there's not just one right way to party, according to press material.

Among the highlights of "Barnum Bash" are strongman The Mighty Dmytrio, crowd favorite The Urias Family of Motorcycle Mania, high-flying acrobats of The Havana Troupe and a parade of exotic animals as well as a team of talented canines.

"Barnum Bash" will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 and Aug. 25, 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Aug. 25 and 1 and 5 p.m. Aug. 26 at Comcast Arena, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett.

Tickets start at $26. Call 866-332-8499 or go to www.comcastarenaeverett.com.

This year, "Barnum Bash" pays tribute to the Armed Forces by giving military personnel and their families a $10 ticket deal to the shows at 11:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Aug. 25 and 5 p.m. Aug. 26.
