Election season

Three-headed enemy on the loose

Sign up for HeraldNet Headlines
It's the season for Public Enemy No. 1 to show its three faces.

The first face is the liars in the media, where ever they are, who will be out slanting, changing and distorting the words of people running for office or in office running for re-election. They think that the First Amendment gives them that right. No, it doesn't. The First Amendment provides the media the requirement to rat out liars and cheats in government but does not provide a platform to lie.

The second face is the elected officials nationwide that have used the liars of the media to promote themselves in ways that are against the law, the Constitution and the welfare of the general public. With no one overseeing their activities and ratting them out when they break the law, we have gotten the most corrupt government in some areas that has ever existed in our country.

The third face is that of the morons who expect change when they re-elect the same officials over and over. Albert Einstein said it: If you do the same thing over and over and expect different results you are a moron.

All that needs to happen, now, is for the honest folks in the media to rat out the liars in their group whenever one of them lies. Provide the facts, we can figure it out. You lied to us and got our country on the skids. That is the United States today, like it or not, and the major reason for it. If you are one of the liars you are a traitor.
