EVERETT -- An outdoor burn ban is in place for all of unincorporated Snohomish County.
Some recreational fires are allowed, but they are discouraged given the hot, dry weather, county Fire Marshal Mike McCrary said.
People who do have fires are asked to be extra careful. Recreational fires must be kept less than 3 feet wide and 2 feet high. They must be in a fire pit and monitored at all times.
The burn ban is in effect until further notice.
For community-specific burn ban updates, contact your local fire department.
