BOTHELL -- Police on Wednesday raided a Bothell spa and massage parlor as part of a monthslong investigation into a suspected prostitution ring.

Three women and one man were arrested, Bothell police Capt. Denise Langford said. Detectives on Wednesday afternoon were sorting out whether the people arrested would be booked into jail and for what suspected offenses, she said.

"Right now, they're just in the interview phase," she said.

Bothell police received information several months ago that the business and a nearby apartment reportedly were being used for prostitution.

The King County Sheriff's Office assisted with the ongoing investigation, which has included surveillance and undercover operations, Langford said.

The spa is in the 22900 block of Highway 527, and the apartment was in the 1600 block of 228th Street SE, about a mile and a half north.

On Wednesday, investigators served search warrants at both places, Langford said. They declined to say what they found there.

The ages of the people arrested weren't immediately available, though two of them were believed to be in their 30s or 40s.
