BRIER -- A fire caused damage to a home in the 21200 block of Poplar Way on Monday afternoon, officials said.
The fire was a few blocks from a fire station, Snohomish County Fire District 1 spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said.
No one was home when the fire broke out, Hynes said.
It was spotted around 12:50 p.m. at the north end of the house. The fire got into the attic and destroyed two bedrooms.
