Darrington: New well-water pump on line
Darrington Mayor Dan Rankin and city crew members Rick Jones and Steve Wold are thanking people in town for their sacrifices in conserving water while the town replaced its water supply pump.
People cut water consumption almost in half, allowing the damaged pump to limp along while the town's smaller well supplied basic water services and maintained a safety net for firefighting flow.
Town officials also sent thanks to Snohomish County officials who assisted in replacement of the damaged pump, said clerk Lyla Boyd. Water service has since been restored to its normal capacity.
Stanwood: City Council has vacancy
The City of Stanwood is seeking applications for appointment to Position 5 on the City Council.
